The Oakville Community Building was constructed in the late 1970's with donated materials and volunteer labor. It experienced major damage in the 08 flood, but has been totally refurbished. It houses the Oakville Fire and Rescue equipment and dispatch, a large meeting room with full kitchen, City Hall and the American Legion room. Facilities need to be reserved by contacting City Hall at 319-766-2981.

The City Park offers a ball diamond, shelter house, play ground & parking. To schedule shelter house reservations call city hall 319-766-2981.
Memorial Park is located on Main Street just west of the Community Building.
The Oakville sign and ( A Peaceful Place BETWEEN TWO RIVERS) sign, is at the south end of Oakville. We have created a small park with a circular flower bed, two picnic tables, a few trees and bushes a drinking fountain, a bike rack and a place to park motorcycles and a couple of cars.
The OVF/ODG office is now the new Oakville Post Office. It opened 1/11/13. We converted the main part of the building to the Post Office. Our front office was converted into a small museum. There is a display of artifacts from the Indian village found west of Oakville. There is a display showing what the village might have looked like along with other Oakville paraphernalia.

This non-profit organization developed following the flood of 2008 and is dedicated to the restoration of Oakville. The OVF is working closely with the City of Oakville to provide affordable housing.
